I stopped at a house neighboring the deserted house one day and asked about it. The people told me the house and property belonged to so and so. I cant remember the name now but I then went to the property owners house and asked about it. They said they use to rent the deserted house out and that the car belonged to the last tenant who was an older gentleman. I think they said he got sick or moved in with his family something like that. But they didn't own the car. Its obviously been abandoned, and no one loves it anymore. It had lichen going on it from sitting under a tree. It probably wouldn't make a DD now but it would still have usable parts on it to keep other festivas going. Dang you Packrat you're getting me started again.

        Fresh, I'm curious.
How do you decide which Festiva to drive when? At least when you had seven you had one for every day of the week. Number eight seems to have messed up that plan. Or are there Festivas reserved for winter/summer or bad weather? You're like the Jay Leno of Festivas.

I blame this site for my addiction! I only wanted a Festiva for a winter beater. But now I love this place and everyone I meet through hare! I have some really GREAT friends I wouldn't have otherwise! And like the rest of us I am always on the lookout for another car or parts. My friends locally think I have gone mental!

^ that's easy , One of the two that are insured. Right now that's Redford or Festidiva. Redford is my DD winter car right now. Booger will be filling that role in the future. Booger is kind of the farm and local run about. It can sit outside and park beside other cars w/o fear of dings. In the summer I switch over the Festdiva and Freshtiva because they both have the best A/C. Festdiva is the main DD in the summer. Freshtiva comes out only for special summer/fall occasions, like St Louis Festiva meets. The grey mare is about to go to the scrapper and was bought as a parts car from the beginning when Diva needed a rear torsion beam. I'm pulling the engine/tranny from the grey mare today. Jewel is the wife's DD. Jerry isn't running yet. I haven't decided what to do with it yet. Jerry may become a parts car for Redford since its red too and has working a/c (Redford is my only festiva w/o a/c). I hate to part Jerry though because its decent and just needs a head which I have . Jesse ( the newest one )will be a back up for Jewel winter or summer. So see its all rational and normal.

"Geez, you named them all?? "

Well yes, they all have different personalities. Besides it gets confusing if I refer each one as " the festiva" . What if all your friends names were Mike ? Example: I going with Mike over to Mikes house. Mike is going to meet us there and then we are all going to go fishing at Mikes pond.

Ladies and gentlemen, the latest arrival to the Festiva ranch has a name! It's only a matter of time until he figures out how to breed Festivas.

Jesse was the cool guy and my new friend that I bought it from. He likes to hunt !!! He told me to come out and stay with him any time and hed put me up in his fully equipped RV beside his house. He gave me a tour of it yesterday. Real good people :!: I going to take him up on it sometime, we would have a hoot.

If the Grey Mare is a 5 speed, you should put that transmission in Jesse. A 5 speed swap is next on the list for my '89, which I have just decided to call Dudley.
