Bald Eagle *link fixed*

We have seen some bald eagles quite frequently lately. Sometimes they are even perched in the trees as close as 100 yards from our house. Today I snapped a picture of one taking off. I really need a bigger lens. I had to crop this one quite a bit before resizing for upload. It also took some photoshop work to brighten it up some since it was dusk when the photo was taken. Anyways, it's my best eagle shot so far.

When I came back to Wyoming in 1997, I would rarely see them. Like maybe once or twice a year. But the last 5 years it's become quite a bit more common. Even so, I still never tire of seeing them.

I just found out this weekend IDNR has set cougars loose just South of our County ??

I was told that some had been spotted on the out skirts of town by the lake .

I work at a rock quarry and last summer there were two nesting in one of the trees. I got to see them diving into the lake and catch fish. A couple weeks later we were only seeing one flying around. Come to find out some arsehole shot one in a nearby park. Boy would I like to get my hands on whoever that was.

I'm not real big on how the endangered species act is being used by animal rights activists. But they have done a good job with the bald eagle.

There was a lady about 25 miles from me that found a feather ...yes a feather laying on the ground , and sent it to Hillary Clinton as a gift several years ago .. she made a dream catcher out of it , and put that feather in there .

The Feds showed up at her house and she almost done prison time .

I think she got a fine , but even possessing a feather of a Eagle is a Federal offense .

that's the stupid part. Come on. It's just a feather on the ground. speaking of feathers on the ground. (I can head off topic, it's my topic ) It's illegal to shoot flickers around here but I've got a couple of good cats and we see flicker feathers on the ground all the time. :lol:
