There used to be about five different versions of this truck for sale near me...a honda, mitsubishi and a few others. I heard they were street legal if they were older than an 86 model. Could be wrong though
you can pick up subaru 360s for around $1000 if you shop around, and there is a pretty good club for them based in AZ. i drove my subaru 360 sedan on the road for about a year, which got a constant 60 mpg and was a blast to drive (even though it was quite a bit slower than a festy, and scary in the wind)
Freshtiva, my 360 was an original hotdog truck, sadly the hotdog unit took quite a beating in the PO's storage.
I almost bought one of these a couple years ago. I had a 440 snowmobile engine that I was going to replace the non-running 360 with. This guy a couple miles from me bought it out from under me. He calls himself a collector of old cars but hes more like a "Cars in barn" guy. I drive by it everyday and its just setting there in the same condition untouched. He buys old cars just so no one else can get them and then just lest them set and does nothing to them. He recently built a fence around his yard so no one could see what he has. I guess I dont have to see the many cars he bought out from under me anymore.
