I'd still give her a hand for trying! There was a girl at my first autoX who kept her car in 2nd the entire time. Sounded really rough and times were slower than anyone... But since I DTF'ed a few times, she still did better than I did.

You'll get the hang of chairman soon enough and then you'll be back in the top spot. The guy who runs the races here in NEPA is pretty cool and down to earth and he does REALLY well in the races.

I tell ya, I'm up there as well but working it off slowly but surely, damn tasty cakes..

The thing is, the car is so small yet there is an amazing amount of room inside these little festys. I've been in cars 3 times the size and been more cramped. In and outs on festys are pleasent. Some cars you gotta break out the *squeeky bed noise* lube just to get in and out. I think its a combination of a well designed interior and the door being about 75% of the total surface area of the vehicles side

I didn't change my mind.... lol.. nobody wanted to buy it!!!

BUT, MAN AM I GLAD! It's sad how much I love this little car.. I sit out in my garage, with it parked on the apron, and just look at it. It ain't pretty, but it's almost exactly what I always wanted.. a small, light, quick, go kart of a tiny car. I always wanted an original Mini... and to me, this is the next best thing.

                      I LOVE MY CAR!!!

Now nobody wants my OTHER 89 for $500!!! some folks on here are just silly!! but, I can't get mad, cause if they weren't silly, I wouldn't have this car anymore!

i know your rates are double, thats why i said i'm sure your ride is MUCH stiffer! However for DD i wouldn't want much stiffer than my 150/125. It feels comfortable to me so far, we'll see after i've been riding on them for a while. I had it at 80-85, and the dips in the back roads are more noticeable, but it feels good to me.

I'd love to get to an autoX sometime, but i don't really know anything about it, and i'd deff want some better tires. Are there sections all over? I'd like to meet someone who crosses somewhere near central VA, even if i don't do very well it sounds like you have a blast!

Yeah, do a search for SCCA regions near you. Go to the SCCA site, or NASA site and search for race.

OR, go to My Auto Events, register, and do a search for Autocross.

You don't need anything special to go have fun!! BUT, be warned, you might just get bit with the bug like I did...

Now I am running the darned thing!! go figure!
