You got it! Of course... the FTD, or Fastest Time of the Day (Also, BTD, TTOD) is always set by BOTH, a fast driver, in a fast car... Someday... I'll be both... Maybe not the FTD, but anywhere in the top 5 out of 100 cars is fine with me.. For most, it takes YEARS of experience. The leader board at my events are usually topped by drivers with 10 or more years, in many cases, over 20.. but there are the exceptions, several shining starts. Our region has a reputation for being very fast, not me... lol.. but the top guys. Do a google on Corvette Driver Danny Popp for example. I guess the bigger regions attract the faster guys... as just up north a bit, in Dayton, I am much closer to the FTD than down here in Cincy... Especially when Danny Popp runs... of course he is a MULTIPLE time national Solo Champion in his Vettes...

Do you guys watch Setup on Speedvision? Mike Jr. Johnson is coming to instruct the AutoX school this weekend, Kevin Dietz was coming but had to cancel... Mike owns the school also.

Aren't cars great... My Fiancee/Wife/girlfriend (whatever you want to call her) just can't understand it.. She thinks I am nutz... Say, we are watching a movie, and some nice car gets wrecked, I am like all... OH NO!! or OOOOOOO! or whatever... and she just breaks out laughing.. or we are driving down the street, and I see a car that makes me sigh... or groan in pleasure, she looks up quickly, thinking I am eyeing some chick or something... she sees it's a car.. and she just shakes her head... I guess I am just a hopeless car nut... She has had 4 cars in her entire life..... 4, and she is over 40.... She can't even remember all 4.... but she knows what color they were.... UGH!!!!

Getting there!!! Do you have the Aspire rear? What tire pressures are you running? It looks as if the tires you are running maybe causing some of that body roll due to tire deflection, not suspension.

Here's a pic of my "soft" suspension (compared to yours) on a hard left with my Kuhmo's (sold btw).

This year I will be codriving my buddies Civic (K20 powered 230whp) but building up the Festiva for next year. I am going to run 13x9's with the NEW Hoosier A6 255/30/13!!! Just working out the details on backspace now... -Kyle

No, the tires aren't deflecting at all.. those sidewalls are SUPER SUPER stiff cantilevered style.. with 40-45 lbs in front to prevent roll-over (Just what Hoosier recommends)

I think the roll is coming from the stock rear axle/bar I would like to put an Aspire in, but not until I get ready to buy new wheels.

I can't figure out how you car could be flatter than mine, unless it IS the Festy rear bar I am using... gotta be, right?

Plus the turn I am on is basically a hairpin, that one of yours looks more like a sweeper? I don't see any cones you are going around??? Maybe I just can't see it...

Well, it's rotating well for me now, and no tire rubbing at all..

I have been wondering where you have been, haven't heard from you lately!

I don't have to... I have street tires on it right now, but it isn't licensed or insured this year.. SO, I have been trailering it... it's a pain in the butt, cause my trailer sucks, can't open the door, so I have to crawl out the back... a 300 pounder doesn't crawl so well...

It is drivable with my suspension, but bumps are HARD...

Kyle, I just looked at your picture again... your wheels aren't even turned... that's not a hard left... look at my front tires, and the others in the same corner, everyone has their tires turned, it's a HARD left, not a sweeper. I will try to get some pics of mine in a sweeper like that. The thing about the pictures I posted is that it is just about at the transition to where you get on the power again, and everyone's car but mine is pitching up to the rear from acceleration, mine is still down in front, but the wheels are cut hard to the left.. do you have any pics of your car in a turn where the wheels are cut? I bet we are pretty close to the same now... apples and oranges from the two pictures posted....

P.S. Compare apples to apples when showing pictures of cars going around the same corner (not stock suspensioned cars only) it only shows that your car is flatter than stock tire/stock suspensions.

Kyle, I love your car. So I don't have to go searching, what size tires? They are v710's right? 13x8 Diamonds with 4" bs? I think that is the setup I am going to spring for.. I just need true Autocross tires.. I can't keep heat in my road race tires... even though I get all four tires for less than ONE v710... LOL...

I just ordered some R25 compound CSR Hoosiers.. my car is JUST light enough to use them... they should last about 2 autox's... LOFL... they are so sticky you can dig out a piece with your fingernail.. LOL.. not ideal, but only 100 for 4, delivered and they have about 85% rubber left... fun to try them...

I am taking the Evolution Performance school this weekend, Phase1 and Phase2.... Mike Jr. Johnson is instructing!! (owner, and Setup driver on Speed tv)

Hey, are you going to sell your diamonds and Kumhos? I saw that you were moving up again...

Def. think your new suspension setup is better than my current one, but I bet it would be even better than that with the Aspire rear beam. I have already sold my Kuhmo's to my buddy for his Miata but I do still have my Diamonds. ATM I am going to keep them, I am thinking about running 13x9's in the front and keep with the 13x8's in the back. 255/30 and 225/45 A6's respectively should also help with traction and rotation of the car as well... If I decide to sell I will no doubt tell you first!

Kuhmo's ran me just about $550 shipped.. 215/50's w/my 4" backspace 13x8's worked perfect. I'm trying to go with a little more wheel inside the fender but it seems that maybe impossible and the extra inch on the 13x9's might have to be outside the fenders... Oh well the price for having more than an inch more tread seems fair to me. -Kyle
