  • New Wheel and Cup holders

I grabbed this wheel out of a 323.. Im liking it ALOT. It makes the car feel so different. The stock cheep wirey wheel was amusing at first but it got old. The only problem is there is only abut 1 1/4" clearance between the headlight arm.

    And... cup holders!!!

I know they may not be everyones style, but I like em. The holders are small tremclad cans and the frame is 1/2" or 3/4" x1/8" band iron. They are attached to the rear ash tray, so when I want I can pop them out in exchange for an un-modified ash tray.
    89SX funtop! Fully loaded!

            I'd buy a set!

I've thought about making an armrest that would fit in the rear ashtray too. Maybe I should see about making an armrest with cupholders in it.

By the way, I like how you saw fit to take a picture of your new steering wheel at 60 km/hr for no apparent reason.

I know, I was gonna whip up a few sets but I could only find two empty paint cans.

Next time I go to the place I get my steel from I'll look into some thin pipe to make more. Otherwise I would have to buy cans of paint just for the cans to make more.

I was also thinking of making one that is mounted off the front ash tray, sticking out of the dash.

I cant remember to be honest, I found that a long time ago. I dont think it was a 323 but I know it was an older mazda. 80s I think.

I might try some kind of arm rest too, but I dont think the ash tray would be sturdy enough to support it.

The picture... well I snapped it right after installing it... at a red light on the way home from the jy.. lol
