I was putting a window in a store front a couple of weeks ago and a man came over while I was working and said the window looked good and wanted to know if I was interested in doing some work for him. He wants some trim done but its going to be a real time consuming job. I found out he does body work. So we are going to trade my carpenter time for his time on some festivas. I saw a couple of his cars today. He had his 59 elcamino at home but he showed me a picture. Check out his 57 Ranchero. Four speed on the column.

I think the Pick up is a 69. He bought that pickup from a local person who owned the truck since it was new. I use to hang around with the original owners son and I remember when it was purchased. It might be for sale. The guy that owns the Ranchero and the Elcamino also has a 59 impala convertible he is working on. Its going to be nice. I love that 59 Elcamino. Its bad :!:

The pickup has a big block in it. That's the original interior. It had two sets of seat covers on it when he bought it. He took the original steering wheel off and put that one on and added the dash cover but otherwise its original. Its immaculate inside and out. I don't care for the wheels much either.

My first car was a '57 Meteor Rideau 500 (same as the Ford... only in Canada I think). Paid $190 for it in 1973. Unfortunately I don't have any photos. It was a four door with a 3 in the tree. It had a 292 cu. in. Y-block. Installed a Hurst floor shifter in it... candy apple red. I think the chrome on it weighed more that a Festiva! oh... the memories
