So you go up to someone's door and knock when you see a Festiva parked outside??? Is that like, normal around your area? I'm just wondering...

As for the car, it's not like they beat it up with a bat, or jumped on the roof, or broke any windows. I don't really have a problem if someone decides to tag it all up with rattle cans. Paint can be sanded off and painted again. Don't get me wrong, it's a waste if the car WAS super clean, but for all we know it could have had super faded paint and/or mismatched body panels...

Besides, I'd rather see a beat-up Festiva on the road, than a super clean one in the junkyard.

          Just my two cents. *shrugs*

Yes I do...I walk up and knock and tell them about the site and give them a card if they do not know about us....most are glad I did because they did not know where to get parts or help with problems they have.

Genevadirt, did you leave a card or note?
John...you had to ask that....you should know me better then that....lol. Of course I left a card, there was no answer so they had to know I was there....

To bad they aren't like Ferraris. If an owner of one treats the car like that, they get stripped of the title and can't own one any more. We should start doing that with Festivas. Then they would last forever.

Ahh. It's just kind of hard for me to imagine that happening around me. I could see in a parking lot, and just talking about the cars and giving a card. But actually knocking on the door...

I guess it's just the sub-sub-subculture around here.

I've kind of done that Suprisingly, my uncle was selling a condo for a client/friend, to my surprise I saw a Festiva parked in the lot. I asked them who's it was, and they said it was their car.

This is going to be my 3rd Festiva 1988 LX 5 speed, 202K miles (runs great started up after sitting for 3 months), has power mirrors, center console, AC, rear cargo cover, rear wiper, trunk light, nice seats with split fold, Festiva logo mud flaps, map pockets, ebrake cable, cluster with tach, tilt, ford center caps, and prolly more goodies! Got it for $450.
