  • BPT capri xr-2

    so I have an aspire and I am going to swap a motor into it.... but I just bought a capri xr-2

    the problem is I need a 2nd car to drive and this is the car. I was thinking to just do basic mods to the b6t like intercooler upgrade, cold air intake and insulating the part of the intake that goes over the V.C.. the motor has just over 85K. I think that there has been exhaust work done,cause it is sort of loud and the boost is pushing 10 psi

    my issue is that I would like to bpt the aspire but I figured to kill two birds with one stone, seeing that this is a verry clean body(xr-2) I would like to bpt the capri and take the b6t out and place it into the aspire and chop the top of the aspire add a rear strut bar and a roll support bar. just to shave weight. (track car only)
    I have already started basic mods for a swap Image Hostingand here is the car its self it is a bad pic but it is the only one that my friend wasn't being stoopid lol

    oh what I was posting about is what info do you have about modding the b6t? and if you think the dbl swap is a good idea and if the bpt will bolt up to the capri tranny I pretty much know it will, but I figured i would ask and has any one done a bpt into a capri??? I mean if the tranny bolts up all I need to do is the passenger side mount right?? and fms has the passenger mount for the aspire/festy so I will need to do the tranny mounts for the g25 correct? let me know what you think and what info you guys have... thanks,
    Dave

        yea that is my plan and I also plan to do some work to it as well. but when I have the money for the bpt I'm going to buy one. I just don't know which one to put it in. if I have the money I will do the double swap I think I just don't know what to do. %$&^%$. lol

          hey.. yeah it looks like we both are in luck. how is your top? in decent non leaking shape? mine has some tears would need to be replaced. i was wondering. what does your oil pressure read at idle? if you dont know off hand im sorry. but it would only take 5 seconds to start er up and take a peak.=] it would be appreciated. im pretty sure i have a leak at the valve cover or at least that what he said when i got it. but i looked it over and all the bolts were real loose and i could finger tighten them. so i fastend them down and i just wanted to see if the pressure is reading right.... i hope this would work on figureing it out....

          thanks. =]

          by the way. i like the capri in red. so far ive seen green, red (yours jsut now) and my white one.

          i like the red the best.

          take a peak at this stuff i seen.

          i really like that backend. well at least the lights. WOW!

            copy and paste this.[ New, "Club Sprint" Style Bubble Tonneau Cover - All Models: 1991-94' ]and it will come up.

            kinda pricey. half the cost of the full body kit.

            a lil searching and i found the covers. but i cant find the lights. i think it was a clubsprint thing. but theyre still sweet. and il keep looking. =]

              doing all the upgrades in the capri sounds like a great idea before the swap except for the fmic. because the capri and aspire are so different most of the piping will need to be redone once you swap the motor. good luck with the builds
