I need to use an aux fuse position but what size fuse etc, I have no idea. I hopefully will figure it out. Send any info my way. A promoter ask me to put the festivas in a car show Aug 24th. Hopefully I should have them in by then.
Hooking then up with those switches without factory wiring will be tricky. Those switches most likely wont be abel to handle the current the motors will pull, so you will have to use a pair of 5 pin relays for each door to switch the polarity to make the windows go up/down. I can draw a schematic tomorrow if you want.

                Brian, Marcus:
The switch pict marcus post looks just like my 2 door Escort.
Below are picts from my escort manuals.
The first pict is from the electrical manual
The second pict is from the service manaul
For both schematics, the continuations arrows, A & B 1st, A & B & C 2nd, go to the rear seat switches that you do not have. If either of you do have this option, rear power windows, the heck with ya and this is the last time you can expect my help!!
Many other pages available; eg back of switch pin outs.
Feel free to PM me additional scans, specifiy file format. Or if photo copies via mail is your desire.
Anyway hope these picts post well

Follow 2nd pict of previous post...its easier to understand

Here are the escort pin outs
Driver's side 7 pins...Double check at the switch for a possibly missing ground.
                      Passenger side 5 pins
In either case they should be easy to ring out.

Thanks god I still have to open the back ones manually! The switches I have each have 4 wires. There is a seperate switch for each window.

Thanks Joe I got four pages of faxes

Brian does your drivers side switch have a switch for the passenger side too ? Like this

You know the back windows would be the best to have powered, you cant reach them while you are driving.

thats a cool idea fresh, the 90s style windstar vans had the same style rear windows as a festy, and they were powered. the ones in my brother's van always worked great, plus you didn`t have to climb at all to open them. might be a neat festy mod if someone can find a set of the motors in a junkyard (which should be easy, those vans are all over, not sure if they all had that option.)

I thought the same thing when I saw the caravan rear side window actuators.
