  • FMS fiberglass hatch + new seats

    Well here it is!
Did I mention that there's no holes for the plate lights neither for the handle and keyhole?

    Outside

    Inside

    Don't know what happened here...

    On this side it's closed...

    Bolt holes

    The box of the seat

And finally the seat, damn I like it!
Is that a Festiva that just passed me?!?!?!

        Owww, Ahhhh!

How much was that hatch? Are there holes to mount the latch?

Why would you need holes for the handle or keyhole?

You're supposed to secure it in place with hoodpins... The point of using the fiberglass hatch is to shave extra weight... Extra wight = the handle, the lock assembly, etc, etc...

And yeah... Did it come broken? It looks cut at the bottom of the window area.

No holes to mount the latch but it really obvious where to drill the holes. AS for the price I don't know, I bought a lot of parts in that order so I can't remember and the invoice is really really deep lost

Simon I agree with you for the holes for the handle and keyhole, I said that just for those who would re-use them. And yeah it came this way, I would say cut, not broken, I think Roger was tired of me calling every week or so, he must have forgot to secure it properly, anyway this hatch will not look like this after my work

m715 Well, they are really not cheap 1600$ for both without the mounting kit and that's because I got a good deal, in Montreal they are 1200$ each!!!!

I don't know what I'll do to mount them, I think I'll adapt something or buy a kit localy...

If you guys have more questions, I'll be happy to answer them, but hurry, I'm off this week and I'm gonna work hard on my car.

Maybe I am over looking it but what does a hatch like that go for?

i always wandered what the fiberglass hatch looked like

                          1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
                          1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Hmm... I wonder if he can make it without the dip in it (ie. flat across the whole back, even where the plate goes)....
