  • Project Toaster

The fire under my butt has be lit. After my last track day. One phone call to my Buddy's junk/impound lot I have found my new toy. For the outrageous price of $200.00. It came with 2 bottles of beer and a toaster. I quickly used the beer to christen the car. I give you Project Toaster
This pile of pink poop before you is my newly acquired 1993 Ford Festiva L.
I get the car towed home, and after tinkering with it for a few, got it to fire up after sitting in his lot for two years. The motor has 198,xxx on it. The trans has been replaced. I did a tune up on it and fixed the oil leaks. The car is running pretty damn good.

I've had this car for about three months now, completly gutted now and doing body work while I try and track down the motor and trany for it.

I can't wait to see where you will be mounting that toaster. Perhaps use it to preheat the fuel mixture?

Well a friend and I were sitting around looking at this luscious pile of pink and we were trying to figure out exactly what it looks like. After quite the many beers I might add. I quickly determined that it indeed looks like an old school happy meal box and yes I'm the prize inside of it. and the other plate I wanted the name was taken

I think I might weld the toaster to the front of the hood, almost Buick style lol.
I think it will help in the aerodynamics department

I dont think its a pile of pink poop :dontknow: Its probably already saved you the initial purchase price of $200 in gas savings. Keep it running and it will save you a pile of green cash.

A little update The swap is going good I'm slowly working on it hope to have it running by the end of summer. Still have some wiring to do got to order a lot of little parts this week.

I managed to get the motor in this weekend. I just have to tweak one mount so I can get it to sit just a bit closer to the firewall.
