  • Western Canada Meet pics

A grand total of four of us made it the Western Canada Meet held July 19th at Wedge Pond in Kananaskis Country. I headed out Friday afternoon with my wife and three of our kids and met up with Jeff (gottafesty) and his daughter who had driven up from Wyoming. Had a great time visiting with him and getting to the two of them... turns out that we have more in common than Festivas but thats another story.

We headed over to Wedge Pond, had our lunch there and waited for more Festivas to arrive. Scott (leapin) and his wife Erin (sorry if the spelling isn't right) arrived at about 2pm in their '93 LX. Jim (monkeyracing) showed up a little later with his '92 GL Sport.

It was great to put some faces to names and just enjoy the afternoon. Of course there was a lot of Festiva talk

Here's a couple of pics and I'm sure the others will have more to add.

This is the "Wedge", apparently it's quite a scramble to get up there!

Wheel choices: from left to right: Jeff's 14" Tracer wheels, my 13" Mazda alloys, Scott's 13" steelies. Jim hadn't arrived when I took this, he's running the Mazda alloys too

You share an affinity for fig newtons? Just a guess.

Yes, it was good to meet a few more folks that share my obsession with these great little cars. I hope everyone had a good rest of the weekend!

LOL Actually it was Oreos. And his kids were fascinated with how much writing was on the package considering it was all in English.
