      I love houses with character.

Had one that was built in the 20's. looked very similar.
Did this have knob and tube wiring?

Update - Almost done. All that's left is to install the quarter round molding where the base and floor meet and to paint 1 door.

Looks great!! That's alot of work but it will pay off! I just got finished getting my soon to come, babies room done as well. Except I had it easy, I only had to put together furniture and paint the room. -Kyle

No. This room was at the top of the steps. We always kept the door closed since it looked so bad.

Nice work Matt. Reminds me of when my twins were born. We had um, nine months notice that they were coming, and we managed to put off starting on their room until, oh, late September. And they were born Nov. 4. The pics of the room with the drywall gone really bring back memories. The house we were in at the time was built in 1909. Same lattice and horsehair. With sawdust for insulation. Made for a nice mess to clean out of there. Very nice work.

Great job Matt!! It looks like you hired a professional to come in and do that, but it's a great feeling to know that you accomplished it with your own two hands;-) I bet the baby has the nicest room in the house now. Oh, and by the way....watch the cat...he's got his eye on that nice mobile in the last picture heheheeh.
