  • Did some rubbing

    Couple of befores...

    And now...

    Tools used:

I know I still gotta get that drivers door. Needs some grittier stuff than the rubbing compound. Maybe some wet sanding. Also wanna repaint the wheels black as well as the bumper covers. Maybe Ill paint the drumz and caliperz yellow and be extra cool? No.

Now its just too bad the car has all the dents and hail damage it has, cause theres no rust at all... Its like a big red golfball on wheels. Oh well maybe it helps aerodynamics, just like a golfball.

And hopefully this wax works better than the crap rainx fastwax I used on the Tbird. I swear that car only stayed shiney for a couple weeks. And I did a LOT more rubbing on it.

Nice job. It's always a good feeling when your car is bright and shiny. Yours looked similar to my B6 after I polished that up:-)

me too. I learned to drive a straight on my dad's 85 turbo coupe. That thing would hammer. It had a 90 mile range in 4th gear 35 - 125. That year didn't have an intercooler. he bought one and put it on AND turned up the boost. There was a boost warning alarm in the instrument cluster. That thing was hitting 27 pounds. It was always alarming. Dad would just leave it to the floor. Dad is fun. I used to outrun Camaros and monte carlos with 305 v8's all the time.

Heh yep thats my first car. Blew the top end at the dragstrip and still drove it 45 miles home. Blew the headgasket 2 miles from home. I have a spare motor Im gonna drop in when I get some time. I only managed a 15.2 but it was capable of high 14's easy. Its pretty stock except a full 3" exhaust, k&n and boost turned up a bit.

Now a friend of mine has an 88... he has a Holset HX-35w on a custom header he made himself, megasquirted. He just ran a 13.62 at 105mph... good for 12's probably with a good launch and such.

Gotta get the Tbird back together though. I miss the car so much. I blew it up back in may.

I heard the head from the 2.3 in the ranger gives you more power somehow. Not sure on that though. Get on that tbird! Too much fun to leave it sitting!

Ranger head as in dual-plug head? The cam is an upgrade over stock as it is a roller instead of slider.

And I am getting close to getting the old block out. Gimme a break man these 2.3's are heavy lumps of iron. They weigh almost the same as a 5.0! What does a B3 weigh, 30lbs?
