It was really convenient that the little wall was there because we have groundhogs in our neighborhood. They will just dig right under a fence like that. With the fence right up on the wall they can't. They got under it once so I parked mowers and tires up against it to keep them out.
Groundhogs, you've got groundhogs??? Want me to bring the Malibu down and see if I can cook a couple of them for you? lol. BTW, that seems to have put a stop to them coming near enough to the house to get to the garden.

That's the ticket. I like 'em with potato bread, American cheese, 1" thick slices of tomato, an a little tiny bit of salt and some pepper. Yum!!

For all of you who keep saying this is not John Denver, you are wrong. This is very much John Denver. I would know, I put it on here. So quit commenting that...

When I was a kid we ALWAYS had a 1 1/2 acre garden beside the house and a 3 acre garden out back. I HATED working in them. Now i've grown up a little i kinda miss the fresh veggies, fried squash, homemade pickles, home made sunflower seeds, banana peppers, okra, pickled green tomatoes(AKA chow-chow), watermelon, fried green tomatoes, sweet corn, whatever-fruit-we-wanted cobbler, greens...Sorry showing my "unsophistacated" southern side.

Take it back to the back porch, join the 3 string revolution.

Well thanks! That's God's Sunshine, God's dirt, and God's rain. I weeded it a little and watered it a little. The rain and sunshine have been plentiful. Man are they delicious!!

Well, I must say, that you were gifted with a green thumb then;-) It's always nice when we bear the fruit of our labor, and you get to enjoy the fruit. If you weren't so far off my route to NY I would stop by to check out the garden and festiva in mid August.
