Edit: Just to let you know there are 4 nuts on each pin 2 of them are for shimming the hood up to be tight against the locks this keeps the squeeks away as well as aligns the hood with the fenders.

And ss I said in another thread the rear pins are tilted towards the back of the car so you can open the hood from the front without binding in the rear. When you put the hood on, you stab the rear pins first and lower the hood onto the front pins..
