  • Possible festiva what do you think?

Its sitting at an auto shop that i drive by twice a day. So I finally stopped in an asked about it after a couple weeks. Well turns out the day before, the guy that owns is told the the mechanic to sell it. Its a 93L 5spd 138k. Now its been a couple weeks since I countacted the owner but our work schedules never match:/

It seems pretty clean. You can see the rust in the following pics. thats all the rust I saw so far. The undercarriage and engine bay looked pretty good. You can also see the big scratch going down the right rear quarter. I was told the car needs a break line and exhaust(I saw it needs about 2 feet of exhaust before the muffler, couldnt find brake fluid).

The price $350. I was thinking of trying to get it down around 250-275. Its gonna be a project car if I get it. Intermittent wipers, aftermarket cruise control, bp, g25, a possible hairdryer down the road, you know the norm8-)

As long as it runs well and your brake line and exhaust repairs don't go over $500, then you got a better deal then I did, lol.
(It doesn't look like there is a single dent on that car, MAN.)

I'd jump on it... the scenario you described is almost exactly the same situation I had when I picked up my first festy over four years ago (before gas was insane) and I paid $700 for it, talked him down from $850. The car looks to be in about the same condition I bought mine in too (aside from the rust, my car spent its whole life in GA so it was clean ) but mine was a red '93L 5 speed with around 150K on the clock. The car looks almost identical to the first pics I ever took of my car (except for it having one smooth and one ribbed taillight ) But seriously, for $350 you'd better not tell me where to find it, or my fiancee will have a festiva of her own sooner than she thinks
                No festiva for me ATM...

                        Congrats!!!!!!!

I was preparing for a trip though!
Because, even if the engine was gone, I'd have paid the asking price just for the body!
