Well... This has been long overdue...

I went with a Rough Country 2.5" Lift, added 1" shackles... And this is where I'm at now. They say it'll settle down about a 1/2", but I still think that some bigger tires are in the future for the thing. I'll probably look into 33's once these wear out a little more.

I had AtoZ Fabrication install the lift. AtoZ is the guy that made the bumpers and rocker guards I've also got on my Jeep... And I'll probably look to him when I'm ready for tube fenders and stuff too. :-P

It took about 9 hours all together from start to finish. I must say though, it drives a lot different than when on the old worn out flat or inverted springs, that's for sure. While we were in there, we also cut off the front track bar, as it does little on a leaf sprung vehicle (which could also be a bit of why it feels different).
Overall... I'm really happy with it. Next comes a snorkel I think. Not because I want to drive deep in water, but because they just look sweet

Thanks guys. I bought this thing when I got out of Festivas the last time in 2005... That's when I blew up the engine in the Pimptiva and parted it out.

It's been "stockish" since then... Except for adding the bumpers, rockers, wheels and stuff... But, the stock springs just weren't enough anymore. I think if I would've mounted my hardtop, I would've been rubbing because of how worn out the stock parts were.

A new set of tires, a snorkel... And eventually some tube fenders of sorts? Then I'll be happy. Oh... and I guess a new set of axles would be cool too. I'll probably look to find a set of 4banger axles, as they've got 4.10 gears in them stock. That should be enough to turn 33's pretty easily.

That is a very nice looking Wrangler. I also need new springs on my 67 cj. It rides like a two horse wagon and i'm getting to old for that.

Jim - I'm undecided... I did see a nice one sitting in the junkyard on my last trip. But, I think the D35 will hold up for what I need. Although, I guess it would be one less step to redo if something breaks.

Jeeps are where its at. Next step is spring over with Dana 44/60 combo then hydro-assist, then coils, then an atlas. its never enough with Jeeps.
