    not a stiva but the new buy

    so i got a good deal on it and thought that i would share it with the family



    a nice 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS with a turbo swap, halo lights, and 34XXX miles

      Watch out for the 7-bolt block, they can be a b*tch...Don't know if they got rid of the crankwalk problem for the second gen?
      The left lane? Are you crazy!!! I never drive in the left lane...It's full of freaks driving the wrong way and charging right at you!!!

        The Angel Eyes lites are kinda cool. Nice looking Eclipse!

        Focustiva: Because I was told it was was impossible to fit a Focus bumper on a Festiva.

                    You mention turbo swap? is it a complete new engine, or is a turbo'd original motor. What motor is in it? Any engine bay pictures?

                    I ask this only cos i have a lancer with a 4g69 also, which i understand is also in some of the Eclipses?

                      i am not sure what motor it is exactly... i feel stupid to the fact.. but saw the papers from the guy in japan he bought it from..... and i will try to get some pics of the motor when i get my camera to work right.. all of the shots look really dark

                        If it is non turbo it will be the 420A neon 2.0 dohc motor.
                        If it is a turbo it will be a 4G63-t
                        If it is a spyder which it isn't it would be a 4G64 2.4L

                        2GB's never came with the 4G63 engine they were all 420a's

                        What's the trim on the back GS/RS/GS-T?

                        Btw nice eclipse, Is it just me, but why does it look like a 97-99 bumper was chopped on a 95-96 body?

                            it is badged as a 97 RS .. but yea is has a 420a motor in it, came non turboed, but then he added the turbo... i found this out as i opened the hood the day that i picked it up and there wasn't a turbo under the hood, I then asked him about it, and he handed me a still sealed box with the turbo intercooler, piping and manifold.

                            so it is a 420a motor, and i am still debating weather or not to put the turbo on it for sure

                              That's weird i didn't think RS's had the sunroof option from factory.
