In celebration of my 2 year anniversary with my lovely wife, we headed out to the texas hill country.
Rented an nice cabin
visited 2 state parks,
Garner
the water is the Rio Frio.
And Lost Maples State Park
It was an awsome weekend. My sister in law watched the kids so it was just me and Momma.
The first park was closing so all we could do was take pictures but lost maples gave us a good run. 4.6 miles of hiking on the east trail. I think like a 500ft climb over 1.5 miles. We are both smokers so we were dying. That and were from houston which is like 13 feet above sea level, there was 2000ft or so.
