  • My Festiva GTX BJ Engine with Auto

My wife complains me that she won't like to drive a manual car so I decided do something different...

BJ engine (Japan engine 1.3L DOHC) with Aspire 3 sp automatic, swapping out 5 sp tranny and put in 3 sp auto.

Only one thing the kick down solenoid single (black/red color) wire really necessary to connect if my BJ ECU don't support?

    ^Ahh my messy in garage...

If she wants you to get rid of the 1.3 DOHC motor too let me know. It probably would be a safer car if you traded me for a SOHC motor. Nice work Zeke !

No way man, I am sure my wife loves this engine, because it got the power steering, air condition, cruise control and soon auto! Which it made her easy to drive...

          I'm sure he'd like a DOHC.

kickdown solenoid doesn't connect to the ECU. It connects to a switch on the accelerator pedal.
