  • My new truck.

Theres some thing that need repair, and it is a repaint. i really enjoy the color, and the power. the mods for this are going to be basic. it NEEDS new tires. theres a donut on the rear drivers side, and its BALD i mean BALD. Get everything working porperly, Drive slector not wanting to go into gears properly. Exhaust.

anyways trying to keep it short.

its an 1988 Chevrolet s10 Blazer 4x4 with the 4.3 i believe. (i will get better pictures soon. these are old and before i purchased it.)

anyone else have one of these trucks?

theres a guy around me that has one all blacked out and it looks real nice.

i want to get all new Chrome and Phantom Grill, windshied visor, some alloys.

    and these

thank god you got the 88, cuz if it was and 84-87, i would have told you to junk it.

as for the gear selection, you should be able to adjust that selector on the trans case (easy).

Nice! My brother has a 92 that he's trying to sell. He bought it when he owned his 350Z (his girlfriend bought a new Focus, sold her Cavi to her brother, who sold the Blazer to my brother) - Anyways, Steve just bought an 08 Wrangler Unlimited and he's looking to get rid of it.

If I didn't already have 2 cars and a bike... I'd probably take it for myself. It drives pretty nice, power everything, leather seats, 4 doors, etc.

        Congrats on the buy.

Seth , are you sure it is a 4.3 ?

I worked at a Dealership from 84 to 90 and I was sure that the 4.3 did not come out until late 89.
I was thinking it should be a 2.8 if it is a V6

correct. I bought an S10 pickup new in '89, and got the 2.8L. The 4.3L had just become available, but only with an auto trans, and I wanted a 5spd.

no offense but i HATED my 89 s10 4wd 5speed with the 2.8. it was a gutless pig! terrible mileage too. it was a smooth running motor, but thats about it. i hope you have better luck, the truck does look clean.

I'm not offended. After about 6 months, I HATED that truck. It was always broken, besides the problems you stated. Traded it on a new '93 F-150 in Oct '92. Paid $14,400 out the door. Drove it for 110k miles. Never a moment's trouble out of that truck. Put on one set of tires, one set of shocks and one tune-up. Traded it in for $10,500. Bought a new '94 Aspire (yes, 110k miles in less than 2 years, I drove alot), and took home a check for almost $1000 with the car!!

Yeah, I think with the 2.8 the alt is on the other side.
