  • New roof rack

    Bought a Yakima roof rack for a Saab used and modified it to fit my car. Works really good actually. Kind of funny the bikes are worth about 8 times what I payed for my car.

      Hey I have a rack just like that... do you know what number the clips are that you are using? Mine came off my hyudai Elantra GT I had I think it has q clips #99 I wonder if I could make them work on the festy?

            Thats funny about the bikes being worth more then the car because I had my bike on the back of my Festiva and thought "That bike cost more than all my Festivas put together!"

                Well I know if you go to the yakima site you can get the proper clips for the festiva but I was just wondering if there was a way to make these clips work...and save myself some money.

                  Well mine are still the Saab clips.. I just took the end peices apart and did some "custom" modifying they were shaped like an S and I basically just straightened them out haha I will get more pics if anyone would like. Its funny the wind deflector fits perfect!

                    Never mind. Found that you can still buy the festiva kit. YES! Just gotta wait abit to swallow the price.

                      ya the yakima racks are not cheap but they have a great website and the racks are excellent quality.

                        Actually, after wasting a bunch of time searching for racks today I found a site claiming to still have the thule rack in stock too. decisions decisions. Anyone have comments on ither?

                          Hay, I noted that you have the bike rack on the wrong way.I have one on my festiva but it kept creeping back.so what you need to do to fix it is move the rear clamp up to the B pillar the one that the door fits in to
