  • pics of my new taurus

As promised here are the pics of the taurus... the more I get to looking at it the cleaner and nicer it looks... its no wonder these things were best sellers from 92 to 96 before they turned into circley windowed potato shaped abominations :-P I drove it home 22 miles in 1st gear lol, never made it over 30 except on a couple downhills lol. But it runs and drives great.

    Top speed lol

fairly new tires, cheapies, but still a full set installed would have cost about what I paid for the whole car...
the hubcaps will be gone soon, I still have my 40 spoke aluminum taurus wheels from the old wagon and they're the same size

And here is my whole fleet as it currently sits (minus the other white astro which is identical to the one in the pic except it has a roof rack, but same year and everything)

I missed it...how much, how many miles? Looks better than the new 2009 and 2010 all new model. Is it a 94?

Its a '95, 97K miles, good running 3.0L V6, trans only goes into neutral, reverse and forward, no park, and it never shifts up out of first, still haven't had time to diagnose that yet but a new (used) trans is cheap enough even though its a pain to install. Paid $250 for it with a clean title

no park?!?! Check the shift cable, specifically under the dash right at the column. It sounds like the manual valve has restricted movement. The shift cables have a propencity for fraying right at the linkage on the column! When the cables fray, they restict the range of the manual valve, and thet may be what is keeping it from upshifting and out of park.

Nice, before I was intrested in Festiva's, I was looking at that body style Taurus, but in my mind it had to be a SHO with a stick
