Ok guys, thanks for your comments.. i wanted to see what you said before I told you what I did....
Ok, so i just got FMS springs, but decided as I have nothing to loose, i'd just TRY to cut my stock ones first, to see how it'd work.... So, on the fronts, i took the springs out, and when it was at free length, I cut about 3" off of the bottom.... did that to both sides, then for the rears I took out the bottom bolt and lowered the strut in the car without removing it.. then cut about 2.5" off the rears with the springs in the car, but loose.
So what do i think of it? I think is SSSCHHHWEEET! It does handle a lot better, much much less roll.. of course it is a little stiffer...
I'll post pictures of my left over spring pieces I cut, so you know how much it is.....
My opinion now that it's over, is to cut a HAIR less than i did... but I had my FMS springs there to compare, and it was about 0.75" short than them at free length..
Thanks for your comments....
oh.. yes Wes hit it on the head.... 1982 Mazda GLC wheels.. i got them luck of the draw at a JY... (always bring a 6" ruler to the JY's for measuring 4.5" lug)Last edited by ejp2fast; 02-16-2009, 09:18 AM.
