  • Check out my Body Kitted Aspire - YAY or NAY?

Picked her up a few months ago and grabbed the body pieces from a freind for some change. This is the end result of about 2 weeks of work. Let me know what you think! http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2125131 . I also have a 95' Contour with a custom EVO kit on it in my cardomain garage that may interest some of you.[/img]

looks sharp. too bad it wouldn't mod to a stiva.

thinking maybe a different spoiler, though.

not some huge thing, just a slightly different shape.

admittedly, though, I've always been fond of the stock aspire spoilers

I like the hell out of it, and I generally dislike the Aspire.

        dislike assfires

I don't like assfires at all, but that one actually makes me want one, slightly. Very hot

Kit from a CRX? Looks similar to one of them I see running around here.

The only thing I don't like is the dual license plate holders. I'd shave the stock one and put your plate on the bumper.

            Oh yeah!

I really like the kit and the two tone paint, and I often don't like body kits either.

              ...

Thanks alot for all the compliments  . The kit started life as a Saturn SC2 piece. Lots of cutting made the back bumper fit. The front was a bit more of a challenge. More of a cut and paste. The license plate is currently in the back bumper. I was waiting for the paint to cure/harden and did not want to scratch it. The pictures are of the car the day after I painted it. The wing is not a stock Aspire piece either. I removed it from a 89' Pontiac Lemans hatchback a while back. When I put her up for the winter I am going to make some molds from the bumpers and sidskirts so I can reproduce them 8) . I want to put some 17" TSW 'Ribs' on her. I don't know if they are a company in the USA or maybe there is someone that imports for them from Britan. Anyone have an idea?

Ha! That's the old S-icon kit. I remember those from a couple years ago. My daily is a '95 SC2.

wtf, you work at a body shop or something? I can't see how you could've got that kit to fit so well & paint it like that in 2 weeks of your spare time unless you are a pro or something.

Car looks good IMO. I agree with simon, shave the hatch & just keep the license on the rear bumper only.

also, get rims, i'm sure you already are on top of that one.

Any plans for motor swaps? A BP in that thing would make it kick all the more ass!!

                      ...

Nah, I put two weeks of my time into it straight. I don't work at a body shop anymore. (did for 2 years) I took time outta my busy schedule and decided my aspire needed a facelift. The Rear bumper is from a SC2 buddy club kit and the sides are M3 style pieces for a 96' saturn 4 dr cut down and the front is off of the NEW (they made it about 6 months ago Styled after the Ion Redline) XR kit for the 91' four door saturn's. I had a JDM T2 turbo rotary that was going to go into it(had the adaptor made just needed a clutch, sold the adaptor to a friend). But am selling it on ebay(#8003827933). I guess I will be sticking with the B6T that was destined for my festiva that has been shelved for about 4 years. She'll get taken apart this winter built and put together. I am hoping to make my first Festiva meet in michigan next year.

                              Looks sweet

Looks sweet, way to go, an unusual looking Aspire. They are not usually very attractive cars in appearance but that looks great, way to go. I also wish it fit the Festy.
