The Festiva population was reduced by one today. I sold the '93 GL that I scored for a Benjamin a couple weeks ago. It had 96k miles and was a one family owned car that was originally purchased in Texas. Of course the kid in the fam didn't check the oil and blew a rod out the front of the motor. I found the rod on the radio support and it was shaped like a boomarang. Anyways, I scored a motor out of a car that I removed everything from in a jy a month or so ago. It had 93k, I believe. Anyways, the only reason that car was being scrapped was because it has a bad distributor cap. Crazy, but true. So I threw that motor and atx into the GL, along with the halfshafts. Put 2 new headlights in it, complete basic tune-up and it ran like a champ. Eleven Benjamins in my hand later, here are the pics as I wave goodbye.

Here's Mark Mich's '89 fi Lx. Mich is the owner of the MiniMouse Festy truck and trailer at the St. Louis Meet.

You can barely see the top of Mich's car over the top of Levistiva and RollasX.

And, finally, Jim, the new owner of the GL, high tailin' it to catch up with Mich at the end of the street. Jim is 70 plus years old and loves the car. Said they made it home safe and sound.
