  • Pics of the festivas.

Well, I posted this a while back, but didn't get many responses, so I'll try again.
Here's the red one, needs a lot of work, but still a festiva

    Put my grille in it

    See anything special in here?

And pics of the turquoise one, also not in the best of shape

I see cruise in the red one

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Ding ding ding ding! Cruise is it! I hope to see if I can get it transplanted into the 90LX I might get.

Tan interior reminds me of a "luxury" festiva. throw some wood grain, and a wood burning stove and its liek a weekend cottage!

either way. you seem to have some nice toys.

Cruise, cool! How does that work on a manual trans car? I've never seen it on a stick shift before. I would think the engine would scream if you had it on and dumped the clutch. I know the brake shuts it off, but what if you just press in the clutch?

well, sadly, the cruise doesn't work. So sorry David, I can't answer that question. Fresh, the one that will probably run the soonest is the turquoise one, cuz it just needs the tranny bolted up, but I'm not the smartest when it come to mechanics.

Hooking up the tranny is doable, even for me. Your dad seems handy, cant he help you out ?

not on my old dakota, the rpms just shot up over 7k, thankfully it didn`t blow the motor.

and 91blufestiva, just jump in there and give the tranny a shot! i think you can do it. no special tools are required, just have a friend help you guide it in while you lift it from the bottom. once its in place its just a matter of about 10 bolts (14mm,12mm,10mm), 1 speedo cable, 1 clutch cable, pop in 2 axles, and 3 plugs (1 for the starter 2 for the tranny) just think how impressed your father would be, plus it will be a learning experience for you.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'll have to try it one day. And as for the B6T, I'll be getting some help from IdealSociety if it actually happens

yea, anything new is always fun to do too... and as for the cruise, in my ranger was the same as the afore mentioned dakota, the engine just keeps trying to compensate, and if it pops outta gear its the same way
