I don't remember about the rear glass but I believe on the hi-series 2dr hdtp's, they had a filler panel added to the quarter glass opening to close it in smaller. I think! That's been 40 years ago.

there was a 2dr coupe (LTD and some Galaxie, like mine), a 2dr hardtop (has a 'B' pillar, usually Galaxie or Custom) and a 2dr fastback/sportsroof (XL or Galaxie, has the long roofline and recessed rear glass). The hardtop is more rare than any others, mainly because they were ugly. The XL had larger quarter windows. This body was 69 and 70 only, from the info I've found.

you got it!! That's about all, too. I'm keeping her stock, maybe some wheels. The engine will get pulled next summer during my engine rebuild class, and get freshened up and detailed. I've already found some NOS radiator hoses, heater control valve, and battery tray. She'll get the correct Autolite 27F battery and cables, some touch-up paint on the inner fenders and good cleaning.

For wheels, I'm currently bidding on some CragarSS hubcaps. Yes, HUBCAPS!!

Might opt for the real thing, or maybe Keystone Klassics or Ansen Sprints.

Nice. I like to get into a cruiser like that before gas goes back up. Love the festys, but want the LazyBoy driverseat feel at least once in my life.

yeah, this is taking me back to my childhood. We had a '72 Country Squire wagon, complete with woodgrain decals, and my grandmother had a '67 Dodge Monaco, about the same color as my LTD. I missed that "land barge" ride!

My aunt had a white one with the sunken rear window...they had a sweep toward the driver dash too...really impressed a five year old let me tell you! the 68 and 69 were two pretty years to me...though totally different. That and a 72 Torino Sport fastback...my grandaddy had a red one.
