  • You have never seen an RV like this

On our recent trip to TN, we found the coolest RV sitting in the motel parking lot Saturday morning. It's a 1965 White 3000 cabover tractor with a trailer that has been converted to a camper.

I was looking around on the net for other pictures of the same kind of truck because I don't remember tractors that looked like this and found out that the people who own the one we saw have a blog going with pictures and stories about the history of the truck and their travels.

    Dean checking out the truck.

Here's a link to their site, check out the story of the truck:

Yes, that's the Festiva we went and got, sitting in the background.

Through the '50's and '60's, those cab over Whites were one of the most popular and modern looking trucks on the road.

We didn't see the people who own this truck before we left that morning. Wish we had gotten to meet them. It is beautifully restored and I imagine that the trailer is cool. Would have liked to check it out.

I bet Brian will like that when he sees the pic....he likes the older trucks and buses.
I think that would be awesome to have but you could only take 2 on a trip. Unless they follow in a car.

We were west of Nashville on I-40 at the time. I'm not sureif that exit was actually a town or not. We picked up the Festiva in Paris TN and then headed back to Cookville to visit Dean's cousins. Made a junkyard stop in Nashville on the way, where we met a man with an Aspire.

There was a Festiva in the junkyard, but it had already had most of the goodies removed.

The only Festiva we saw on the road the whole trip was in Cookville.

Dean told him about ff.com, so maybe he'll come join us.

We think he said they are from a Geo. Might be wrong about that.
