I assume the different color on the bumpers, rear wing and tail finisher are actually primer?
I kinda like the BMW badges, just 'cause it messes with people's minds. My brother had a set of adapters on his '66 Mustang (289) that let him install small block Chevy valve covers. The reason was strictly for ease of setting valve lash at the track due to only 4 bolts, but it was amazing how many people would see the "Chevrolet" on the valve covers and think it was a Chevy engine!
I would try to make a custom BMW style grill with two vertical center elements, just to complete the facade!Brian

blkfordsedan reminded me of what it needs: the BMW trademark grille shape.
I've thought of doing a "BMW Festiva." I doubt I ever will, since it would take quite a lot of work. But I do think it would work. Here's what I'd recommend in addition to the proper grille:
Take off the "visor." Those are (in my mind at least) associated more with custom vans than BMWs, or even cars.
Use an understated color scheme, preferably with a common BMW color. Make everything match as well as you can.
The quad round headlights under clear cover look would work really well. Few if any BMWs have Festiva style aero headlights.
Think more of making it look like a 2002 era BMW than a brand new one. And no, I ain't talking about the model year.
BMW ended for me in 1976, when they decided to get out of the "basic sports coupe" business. I drove a 2002 once, but it was $1000 more than I could afford, so I bought a used '81 Civic instead (a much better choice for a poor student, and an excellent choice, in fact).
Karl'93GL "Prettystiva" ticking B3 and 5 speed, backup DD; full swaps in spring!
'91L "AquaMutt" my '91L; B6 swap/5 speed & Aspire brakes, DD/work car
'92L "Twinstiva" 5sp, salvage titled, waiting for repairs...
'93GL "Luxstiva," '94 B6 engine & ATX; needs overhauled
'89L "Muttstiva," now a storage bin, future trailer project

There was a link on hear last year about a guy that mounterd a BMW grill in a festiva, even took it to a couple BMW dealers. One even said he had heard of the small BMW 121 but didnt know they were ever sold in the USmoney pit
No spitters were I work, you swallow it all. The Company feels if you already have it in your mouth why waste it.

Ford had very little to do with this car!
That's a good thing!
So not all of us, by a long shot, are foaming at the mouth Ford fans.
They make good stuff and they make bad stuff, just like any other auto manufacturer.
Of course they did seem to get their act together and maybe the only car company left standing.
So they deserve some credit, but they also built the pinto.'93 Blue 5spd 230K(down for clutch and overall maintanence)
