  • Meeting KR3AM at Festiva Madness Mini-Meet Today

V8Festiva and KR3AM (new to the site-see his thread on his Aspire) had talked about trying to meet up this weekend. When he called today, we were just discussing where to go for lunch, so we decided on Grill 57, a burger joint on the south side of Raleigh. V8 called a few others to see if they could to join us and we ended up having a Mini-Meet this afternoon.
We were joined by Dozerdug and his wife and Sam.1956 and his girlfriend.

After lunch, we had a good time inspecting everyone's cars, especially the body work/repaint on Doug's car from where he was hit by a Jeep. Now, we just have to get KR3AM's car and mine fixed.

    Here's a few meet pics.

I guess he enjoyed meeting us!

KR3AM, we had a good time getting to know you. Stay in touch. We had such a good time, we will have to do another one soon.

On the way home, the Char-Grill where we had Festiva Madness last fall, was having their monthly car show, so we had to stop and have a look around.

    Spot the Festivas:

Im not sure what year it is. But its actually a Thunderbird with a kit you can get for it to give it a 50s retro look.

V8 said he had seen kits like that online somewhere. I just thought it made it look strange. The meet area is supposed to be for pre 1975 cars. Just because he has a retro kit on there, doesn't make him qualified in my opinion!

Barb I totaly agree with you about the retrobird. By the way KR3AM's Aspire appears to be shaking in the photos. It's probibly worried about loosing it's brakes.

That last car looks like my dad's MGA convertible. I would almost trade my festiva for it.

That was an Austin Healey 3000 and it was beautiful inside and out. It reminded me of the Austin Healey bugeye Sprite that I learned to drive a stick in.
