  • New Festiva - The SunToy

A few weeks back, Dean (V8Festiva) bought this Yellow Festiva in West Virginia.

So, this weekend, we went up and got it. Here it is loaded up for the return trip.

Mike told us that he thinks it was originally a North Carolina car. No rust.
Great car, nice job on the short shifter. Has a factory white faced tach, KYB coilovers all around, brown interior. Lots of other goodies. Only problem is that it needs a new master cylinder and the rear brakes are sticking, probably from sitting for a while. So, now it's back in North Carolina.

Dean wants to put the funtop in it and call it the SunToy. It's probably going to sit for a while until he finishes the current project thats taking up the garage, but hopefully we can get to it soon. Thanks for everything Mike.

Nice!! The color yellow on a Festiva is kind of growing on me. Passed up the chance to buy one last year in Cumberland, MD. Wish I had snagged it. Nice score.

              Burning Rubber!!!!!!!!! with a 1.3

Took this car down the street today!

The engine spills up very fast with that FMS lightened flywheel.

I did a burn out on the street out front and left a track over 15' long.

I was surprised that this little car would even do that.

Now that I know it will, no need to waste the tires, LOL

I think there may be some power lost at highway speeds with this flywheel setup?

You guys weren't running around in Winchester Va in that thing today were you? Saw what had to be that one's twin today. Right down to the trim rings and everything. Was going to get a pic of it, but of course, the camera was sitting on my computer desk. Nice score, BTW.

We didn't come back by way of Winchester, so not us!
But, when we were coming back from Ohiostiva last month, I saw a yellow one going northbound on the turnpike that could also have been a twin of this one. Maybe there's a ghost festy running around in those mountains.
