  • Westiva 2009

Well here are some of the pics I got from westiva 09... Our trip started out bumpy with a sick little girl the night before we left. That delayed us a bit with a quick stop at the clinic to get her checked out... BUT THEN, my wife lent her dad our Freestyle Crossover and not even 30 minutes later we get a call that he got cut off and hit a "curb". He tells me over the phone that the wheel is wrecked and I am thinking how bad did he hit the curb... well have a look at this... its alot more than a curb if you ask me...

Bent the rim, and broke the brake caliper, bumper cover, fender, and who knows what else is damaged in there...Needless to say another hour or so of waiting for the cops and the tow truck and we were finally on our way again...

We finally roll into the campground at just after 11pm and someone is in our reserved site... so another 25 minutes of driving around the campground we find a place to sleep for the night....

Saturday morning we wake up and go and get our proper site and get the festy off the trailer and head out to wedge pond for the meet... Once we get there we meet up with the other 4 that were already there... Thats an improvement of 1 from last year...

Only 4 of us made it up for ice cream... Jordan with the blue festy had to roll on before we could go for ice cream...

And then we all went our seperate ways and that was that... It was a great time and really nice to meet all of you in person, definitely have to do it again next year...

Nice pics. Decent turnout. Guess I'm not up on my Canadian Festivas, who's is the black & red, git-r-done- car?

Love the way your car is looking Littlehoe. Is that the same civic front bumper, or something new? Really like the way you did your tag recess too!
Edit: Just checked out an old post from when you got the car. Huge improvement, great job!

            No door handles either? Sweet.
Bad news on "tapping" the - curb - more like concrete barrier

His name was Paul I believe. He was from New Brunswick but is living in Alberta now... he was showing us pics of a festiva limo that he has made, he has it on cardomain...Super nice guy, Actually everyone there was super nice... He saw the ad in the newspaper and thats why he came out. We told him to check out the site so hopefully he does...

Oh and thanks for all the comments on my car... I will get some better pics of it when I can... It was painted on Thursday at about 5:30pm and we were assembling around 8:30pm till about 11pm, then it was on the trailer the next morning and we were on our way...

That is the same civic bumper just with the signal holes filled in... when you see the paint in person it has a pile of blue pearl in it that only shows in the bright sun too...
