  • Junkyard Goodies!!

Finally got to hit the j/y today. With my tools. Snagged my steering wheel. A bit dirty, but should clean up fine.

Cargo area carpet and board that goes over the spare. Xlence, they're yours if you want them. Definitely need a scrubbing, but in good shape otherwise.

After getting a second look at the door panels, I decided to pass. Fronts looked good, backs pretty much rotted away at the bottom. Did snag the map pockets, tho.

Chrome Antena piece. Not sure if I'm going to use this or not. But it was shiny, so I snagged it.

And these things, I've never actually seen on a Festiva until today. Heard about them, just never seen them. Vinyl over foam padding that goes along the tops of the doors, above the removable door panels. Really good shape. Dirty, with one small tear (maybe 3/4 in.) on the passenger one. Not sure if I'll use them either, but snagged 'em basically just because I've never seen them before.

Grabbed a set of speakers for the front, my missing driver's door trim piece, and some assorted screws and bolts. Just because they were there.

All for 20 bucks!! Sweet!! Gotta go clean my steering wheel now.

I'll bet freshtiva has multiple sets still in the original packaging.

^^ No doubt. Half in tan, half in gray. Pretty sure I've seen pics of them in other people's Festies, just never seen them for myself.

Wish I had taken my camera with me, but it was at home charging. Glad none of you snake fearing people were with me tho. While I was pulling the door panels off, kept hearing rustling around in the headliner. Happen to glance up, and here's a big old blacksnake sliding down where the dome light was supposed to be. I don't mind snakes, and it scared the crap out of me until I figured out what was going one.

I'll get you one tomorrow. Before I saw your post, I hung the carpet up on the line out back and gave it a preliminary hose-down. When it dries, and I can get an accurate weight, I'll PM ya. Oh, and the little plastic pieces that secure the front edge to the floor were all either gone or broken, but like I say, you can get those at pretty much any parts place.
