Here are some more lightning pictures I took the other day. I've never seen so much lightning around here as we've had this summer.

Those are some really good pics. I have a whole folder on my secondary harddrive dedicated to lightening pictures. There are some really crazy ones out of Florida and the tropics.

So, for about the same price as a fully-loaded 1993 Ford Festiva, you could also wield the power to obliterate a small village in the blink of an eye.

          Thanks everyone.

sasquatch, I have a remote shutter button with a lock. I set the camera to continuous shooting mode and then lock the remote shutter button and promptly fill up my cards. I usually end up with around 200 or 300 photos, most of which are promptly deleted.

So yes, I set it to take a bunch of pictures and then delete them. lol

Wonderful photos! I am an amateur photographer and know how difficult it can be to get really good lightening photos. The color and exposure are great. What type of camera did you use?

                              Thanks!

I use a Sony A100 dslr. The picture with the most lightning in it was taken at f/8 and 3.2sec.
