[QUOTE=rolla4me;253592]Looking forward to see the park every year.. enjoy!

    Simply amazing !!
You are a great picture taker. Can you imagine how our country looked 150 - 200 years ago all over ? I mean where the big cities are now, and the towns and villages along rivers ?
I bet a lot like your photos. Thanks for sharing,

Thanks for sharing rolla. Those are great pictures. I've been there twice but it's been 4 or 5 years since the last time. It's pretty breathtaking scenery, especially from glacial point or glacier point. (I forget what the name actually is) My brother, daughter, and I hiked the trail down into the valley from there.

                  Nat Geo

National Geographic just wrote an article about Yosemite and said that it was a supervolcano that could blow up about 4 states out of existence.

I believe you are perhaps confusing Yosemite with Yellowstone National Park. Nat Geo had an article on Yellowstone as a supervolcano in the August 2009 issue. (All of us amateur photographers have to subscribe to Nat Geo -- it's mandatory! )

Yes, it is Yellowstone that is a "sleeping" super-volcano!
According to some geologists it is over due for another eruption, but since we are not very good at predicting volcanic eruptions could be tomorrow or 10,000 yrs from tomorrow.
But, bet it would be a show worth seeing!

We hit it on the 4th of July both times and it was packed. Next time I'm going in the spring like you suggest.
