  • Who needs a Ute! (Pickup truck) ... When you have a Festiva!

Needed this garden bed tank today and the Nursery wanted $30 delivery fee to drive it 1 mile for me. Forget that I said, I have a Festiva!

The first part of the trip was over a highway and the rest back roads. Suffice to say I made a few peoples' day on the way home, and luckily for me none of them were in police uniforms

        I so want a 4 door.

Festivas are great to transport items.
I have a few pictures of items I have hauled in my Festiva to post when I find them.

When I moved out of my house last year, more than 95% of all my stuff was taken in the back of my Festiva. I'm talking about big chairs, chest of drawers, tables... it just too several trips. It's ridiculous the things that little car will swallow up!

But a garden bed tank? Wow. That's gotta get the "tough enough to over-stuff" prize!

Focustiva: Because I was told it was was impossible to fit a Focus bumper on a Festiva.

Yeah, Festies are great for hauling and people just don't believe it when you tell them about the things you've hauled, like a full-sized washing machine and dryer! (One at a time of course -- we couldn't manage to get both of them in at once, but that would've been really something!) I agree that tt would be so great to have a 4-door model.

You have no idea how jealous I am of your car. You Aussies got better selection! I wonder if people have enough interest in the 5 door hatches to get some brought over...I'd loooove Xiva to be a 5 door! hehe

Glad you guys enjoyed the pics, i posted them for a laugh rather than any serious point of view, although it is amazing what you can fit into the back of a Festy, it's like a tardis on wheels!

I didn't realise you missed out on 5 doors too. It's about the only car in history I can think of that we got optioned better here than in USA/Canada.

Unrelated, but the festy was due to go into the smash repairers today for panel repair and respraying, unfortunately we had a disagreement in costs, they wanted $600 more than we'd previously agreed on so for the time being I've cancelled the job. I probably will still go ahead with it, the job included all panels being fixed up plus the plastic door strips repainted etc, they've agreed to take progress photos for me to post up on these forums

You just need a roof rack, then no one would probably even notice that you were hauling a tank.

true that. I want to see some pics of a kayak of a surfboard on top a festy. I think that would be cool to see. I wonder If anybody has done a woody kit for a stiva? That would be hilarious.

Actually, that doesn't look like a junker! I hate to say it, but it looks like it's in better shape than my Festiva!

I like the pics of this one:

I have put 8 2x4's inside the cab accross the pass. seat into the floor. Another trip I took home some 2x6's, however, I was really cocky at lowes one day and got Qty. 8, 4foot x 4foot plywood sheets and couldn't get them through the hatch no matter what I tried. Many times I would roll out a cart full of stuff and people would laugh untill I easily put it in the car, but this time carma bit me, and a couple in a jacked up Jeep laughed their A s s e s off while I tried everything to get that plywood in there. I bought some ratchet straps and strapped it to the hood.

I have filled my Festiva with batts of Roxul insulation. But that's where I draw the line. No long wood or sheet material. That's where the Grand Caravan without any seats comes in. Besides, how do you think I'll be coming down to Ohiostiva with all those goodies I promised? I have even picked up a one piece WWII map table in Delaware with it. It just barely fit. I used to have a Jeep. One time I tied a picnic table to the roll bar and drove down the highway. No problem.
