  • Poor poor little Festy

went to the yard today because they got a new Festy in this week. When I found it in the yard I shed a tear. The poor little thing was really abused...and had a REALLY gross interior. I was wearing gloves and I still would not touch some of the parts....I left the console and map pockets...I just could not stand it any longer...

Nasty. Sad, but nasty. One of the stivas I pulled parts from a few weeks ago, had no passenger side windows at all. The way it was sitting, it had a nasty little pool of green water in the floor. Passed on those map pockets too.

Too bad they get that far gone, huh ? I would think it would be some body parts to save I guess, and a few items like bolts and miscellaneous ?

I don't have one that factory color.

What a waste of what looked like a good car.

Some of the cars in the local junk yards are better than the ones we drive.

^^ +1. One of the junkyards I was in a couple of weeks ago had a nearly pristine looking white one. No dents, no rust, interior in good shape (except for the smiley faces on the visors) Assuming it blew the motor and ended up there.

When I was a kid, and my mother couldn't find someone to watch my brother and I, we would go down to the shop where my Dad worked (Looper's in Rockville) and hang out until he got off work. The shop was kind of in a complex with a body shop, and a radiator shop. One night when we were there, they brought in a car that lost to a train. Not even sure what kind of car it was, wasn't really much left of it. Anyway, there were still bits of the driver and passenger in the car when the tow truck dropped it off.
