Guess I never knew, til I started looking at some of the pics on here, how prone the hatches are to rust. Never had that problem myself.

Nice name.Thanks.I just LOVE how several of you like making comments on how I am doing things with my cars.
I have to do what I have to do.Are you the ones here taking them apart, working your job, storing them ?No,so what's your(and whom ever else has a problem) problem ? Why all the comments ? Are you offering to come here and do it your way ? No.Are you the one who put out the money for all of them ,no.
Everyone has been so helpful to me since I have been on this site....until now.I don't have to take pics,if that would make people happier.???????????????????????????

I'm sure the great majority of us support what you are doing and are happy that you are providing this resource. I wish you weren't about 500 miles away, or I'd be over a lot! I suspect a lot of people feel the same.

^^Same thing here. You have to do what you have to do, and it gets us parts that we need. If I wasn't 7 hours away, I would be there helping you out.

You knew what you were in for when you bought them. Or maybe you didnt and just wanted the glory of saying, "LOOKS AT ME! I OWNS 30 FESTIVAS!" and then found out what a job you had ahead of you. Either way I dont feel sorry for you.
But that doesnt mean I dont respect the effort even if it looks like stuff might get missed. And your name is the 1st I mention in [WTB] threads.

You have to look at it from our prospective... What you're doing is basically taking 30 or so festivas off the road... Sure many of these things couldn't be repaired... but if you hadn't bought them there's a chance that the owner would have opened his yard up to festiva enthusiasts to pick the parts that they need .. You're.. just stripping the easy parts and crushing the rest of the parts that some one will someday need.

I, for one, was just busting your balls a bit. Meant nothing by it. Pretty much in agreement with Tom. If I was closer, and/or had a bit more in the funds department, you'd have to drive me away from Stiva Hill at gunpoint.

Seriously, it seems like you're doing a fair amount of destroying, but in fairness, pictures don't always show all that is wrong with a car. You seem to have enough of an idea what you're doing that I trust if you decide a car can't be saved, then it can't be saved. But understand, some guys/gals see nothing but a bunch of Stivas being eliminated from the gene pool. Just my .02, tho.

I dont think thats all people are seeing in these pics. There plenty of other hard to find parts that are potentially being lost. Definately more money to be made with those than with the option stuff as I said before. Yes the loss of the cars is sad as well. But if a car is beyond saving, its beyond saving.
