Actually, not a bad idea, but first i am to try the Aspire struts first and see if that does it. This is one soft, spongy suspension

Man, that looks nice! Let us know what you end up doing to fix the rub issue. I'm sure to encounter the same prob when I get new wheels in a few months.

Well, was on the phone with a Monroe guy and said that the Aspire struts would stiffin it up so that is where i'm headin next. Right now I have twist-in spring boosters stuck in the festy struts/shocks. Its helping, but not a solution.

The spring perch is higher on the Aspire struts so that will also raise the Festiva a little bit also. Although if you reuse the old springs it may not be much.

I had the same problem with my 14s. I got the toyo proxes T1Rs 195/45 and no rubbing i even have it lowered with the fms springs. mine were rubbing both front and back. the front was only when wheels were turned an i hit a bump. the back rubbed on on the inside so i got spaces an they started rubbing on the outside. thats when i switched to the toyo's.

Yeah that's the best solution...might or might not still need the BFH. My tires on Casper, which is lowered with FMS springs, are 185/60x14. Thanks to the BFH they do not rub front or rear. And that's plenty of tire for a Festy.
Do you really want 50s tho, for a daily driver? Kinda harsh.

Man, i got the deal of a lifetime on those rims. $75 !!! Kid had hit something and bent 2 of 'em. Wanted $100. I said "thats a $100 fix" would ya take $75 and he said yes. Home I went, called by buddy and had 'em fixed for $50
So $125 and now there on my car. Tires were on my sons Jetta that is dead. He needed shoes for his feet and said if I bought him shoes i could have tires. Guess he wasnt thinking, cause I woulda got the shoes for him without givin me the tires! So really the tires were free! BTW, I bought him 2 pair shoes. (so I guess the tires did cost about $120)
Never forget......craigslist !!!!! (and BFH's)

Wheels really do make the car. I just sold my set of enkei's/bbs style wheels for $150... they were 13" & finding 13" low pro rubber was looking hella hard
