  • Festiva Madness 3 Inspired Artwork

I just finished this pencil drawing last nite at midnite! It was started on Aug 1, and finished Oct 13 (but I didn't work on it every single nite).

It's a pencil drawing that I did of V8Festiva's BP engine. Some of you at Madness 3 saw the unfinished version of the drawing.

For some reason that I still do not understand, I decided to do over 95% of the drawing with a 0.5mm mechanical pencil. Talk about taking the hard route. Thrown in are some judicious stabs of color done with Prisma color pencils. Actual size of the drawing is about 9.5 inches high by 14 inches wide.

WHEW! That was a LOT of work! Best thing is, my patience as an artist is finally at a point that I can see a major project like this all the way thru, even if it does take months to complete!

    Enjoy!

^^LOL! Thanks for the kind words y'all. I have been considering uploading it to CafePress or an equivalent site. I think it would make a killer graphic for a mousepad, coffee cup or sweatshirt!

I'm taking a brief 1 week breather before I begin my next major, and again Festiva-themed art project. I have enough Festiva-related art ideas to keep me busy for years actually! If you liked this one, you're gonna love the next one.

Stay tuned... and I am open to suggestions for car-related art projects...
