I think it's very over the top... But they are definitely on to something. I would love to ride around in those back seats with the recliners! Fake wood looks awful but with more simplistic interior It would look great. Same with the exterior. If they toned it down I'm sure it would sell. But definitely a good start in my opinion

its ugly as hell but I actually really like it and would infact drive it - I can see it with jacked up suspension, supper swampers, a brush bar and roll bar with some KC lights

Actually the design to me is not as bad as some that try to be ultra modern or futuristic, whatever you call it. Think Aztec or early Avalanche. If it sells well looks like Exxon has a bright future too.
ok, it's a show truck only, from 2005. I don't know where the rumor started that this is a production truck.

That's NOT fake wood. It's teak, real teak.

No, they didn't steal a Pontiac name. The 'Super Chief' name belongs (and has always, Pontiac used it without permission) to the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, starting in 1936. The Super Chief was one of the largest and most luxurious trains ever built.

Note the center stick on the shifter console. It toggles the fule source from gasoline/E85 to H2, hydrogen. Ford has been working H-ICE (Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engines) for 10-15 years, and the first production H-ICE engines will debut in 2012. That is most likely where the rumor about the Super Chief going into production came from.

It'll be made out of titanium. They're recycling SR-71 Blackbirds to make these, and employing third world sweatshop workers to strip the black paint off the planes and polish the panels up for the truck.

The teak comes off of sunken sailing ships from the Mediterranean and Seaworld. What they don't show are the all the golden dubloons melted down into wiring and the optional "Bling Package."

On some of the trucks you'll be able to see old U.S. Airforce and NASA markings done as a form of artistic celebration of recycling and the Cold War.

This project is very involved to justify the 3.7 mpg this thing will use on gasoline and the huge amounts of hydrogen just to run the A/C.

Later on they will come out with the diesel version, using old U-boat engines from bombed German submarine pens along the Atlantic...

Also, the engine blocks are cast out of a proprietary mix of steel, concrete and 2 liter soda bottles. The same bottles that are used to form the cylinders, in which there are no pistons. The key to mixing fuels successfully was found to be flapper valves and the use of a kidney dialysis machine--all recycled of course.

Insulation comes from old hospital gowns and fly ash.

Word is that shredded bonus checks from fired Ford executives are also used, as are the rotting remains of test track road kill. Trade secrets abound as to where and how these materials are used.

Ford really has it's environmental pulse throbbing in this baby. One-hundred trucks sold will reverse Global Warming after only 12,000 miles of operation apiece.

Look for the introduction of "snake oil" engine technology announcing the next generation of this truck line. "Dr. Marvel's Moo Poo Juice" provides a small clue as to its agricultural recyclable roots.

                            Monsoon flatters me.

He should have commented on my obtuse knowledge of hard to discover automobile industry secrets, little known factoids, and littler known microfactuals.

                            And a penchant for invention!
