<just finished,washed up and ready to type>
Well, now that I can't drive Zippy for fear of a ticket.. (no tags) I had to take Techno off the jackstands and get it back on the road.. She's been on the road now for a month or so, and with the perfect weather I broke out the tools... Removed my old CAI.. cleaning or replacing the K & N filter was getting to be a pita, being that low to the ground it would get dirty fast and after a few cleanings, it was history and I'd have to pop another 45.00 for 1 at the local Competition Sales.. I replaced the old 2" steel pipe with a 2 1/2" Aluminum one, shortened it so that the filter stays in the engine bay, away from all the road dirt.. new poly hose connectors.. and now the VAF is allot closer to level than it has been in 3 years.. then I tackled the exhaust.. say bye bye to the cat.. same Arvin muffler to 2 1/2" pipe to a stainless flex joint to FMS header.. no O2 sensor and since I am running the euro tach cluster, I have no check engine light to stare at.. she didn't sound too much like a weed wacker until I removed the cat.. now she's loud when I get on it.. I didn't dyno before the work so I don't know what the gains are, but she does seem to scoot quite a bit quicker.. well, enough so that the clutch is starting to slip now, and it didn't before.. Oh and finally got a new OEM master cylinder not that autozone crap... ah... brakes again..
Edit: :Looking at the pics I noticed that you will see the pass side c/v boot is spread a little wider that stock.. just a point out to those of you that read my fix to keep the pass side axle from popping out.
