  • Overdue Pics of My Festiva

Hey new member here. I've made a couple of threads and in each I think I said I'd post some pictures of my car. Wellll...here they are. Brief background on the vehicle. I bought it in late August I think. The guy wanted 950 but I talked him down to 650. Some rust around the rear wheel wells but thats good in my opinion for an Ohio vehicle. I don't know much about the previous owner or service history. The interior isn't in to bad of shape. It could use a good deep clean. The 2 front seats are just starting to rip at the seams so I'll probably throw some seat covers on em for now. Umm...I don't know I could write a paper but I won't.

Repairs I've personally done so far:
(This is from memory...if I forget something I'll add later.)
    Wires, plugs, cap, and rotor
    Clutch
    Replaced both cv axels
    Rear brakes
    Rear main seal
    Valve cover gasket
    New Cheap 4" speakers
    Old Concord am/fm casette tuner
    Mounted and wired cheap tachometer
Mounted and Balanced 4 new cheap 12" tires
Sand blasted and painted all the wheels
Some fiddling with the instrument panel for better illumination

    Definite future repairs:
    Alignment
    Replace HLA's
    Install Oil Pressure Guage
Engine Rebuild (probably in the spring)
Get a head unit that takes cd's
Get some 5 1/2" speakers for the rear
Detail the interior (and take pictures!)
    Detail/paint bumpers
    Detail/paint grill
Whatever else I happen to feel like...

Anyways here are the pictures. Sorry bout my lack of photography skills. Also, this is 2 days of road grime after I waxed my car. I swear it was shinier.

I was going to upload but I got flustered and also didn't want to resize so here is the link to photo bucket: http://s992.photobucket.com/albums/af48/ShortShifting/

    Hope you guys enjoy.

It looks like a really nice car... especially for only $650! As far as rebuilding the engine, you could probably replace it with a good used B6, B8, or BP for what you would end up spending... from what I have read anyway. I am dying to do a swap on one of mine, but lack of funding right now is kinda making it difficult. Again, nice car, and welcome to FF.com!
The normal is not always normal... MOST is not ALL... And any job can be hard if you don't have the right tools!!!

No, I wish that would be cool but no. You should check him out though. Howlin' Wolf is his name.
