  • One of the stray dogs....

got bit,hit or shot. Not suprising around here.Showed up this morning, brought him in and fed him.Knew he wasn't his happy-go-lucky self and now I see why.Try to feel around the holes(there are two side-by-side) and he is,of course, sensitive to touch there. They look too close together o be a dog bite.????I can't get good pics.He also has a wound on back of left front leg.Hopefully I can look at it closer later.

Awwww! Poor Thing! I hope he gets better.

Do me a favor. If you find out who did it, put a couple of holes in them for me.

            I am with you PU241.

Can you take him to a Vet to at least get checked out. I don't know how they do things down in Ohio but up here in NY you can take them to the SPCA and let them know it is a stray and they will take care of it and look it over for you. I think if you decide to adopt it you have to pay for the care they gave though.

+1. Please take them to someone that will give the dog professional medical care. Good for you for picking him up!

omg... that is sooooooo sad! It looks like he was shot with a BB gun and that it went in one hole and came out the other! I hope you find a vet to get him all patched up, and a good home, I would really hate for him to be put back out there where there are jerks shooting him!

I bet it was the chupacabra. Hope he gets better and I would take him to the vet for a rabies test for sure.

Well, now that I am home I have looked at the swelling of the dogs wound and also his "elbow "(?) on same side front paw.It is swelled, too.I am ,kind of,thinking he may have been hit by a car.He and the other stray chase cars that come by our house. They protect our yard since we take care of them. This is just what it seems to me.Also, the other one has not been by today and they are ALWAYS together.

The pit-bull mix went right back to felling fine the next day.He is doing good. The other stray, the shepherd one , went out to pee and hasn't returned. He was the worst.I talked to a vet and he was willing to work with me on getting him x-rzyed and see what he needs. Now,I just have to wait for him(Tin Tin) to return. These dogs are wonderful.Just wish they got along with our dogs.
