Just saw the commercial for the new show on Discovery Motor City Motors
and noticed a Festiva so I looked it up and found these. You can google Motor City Motors and find more pictures.

The episode with the Festiva will be titled, "Festevil". Not much info other than "a Festiva takes to the skies". Should be interesting! Air time for "Festevil" not yet posted.

I didn't see "Fiesta" mentioned. This is the only mention of the project I found and it says "Festiva".



The team transforms a 1992 GMC Suburban into a pothole filler and a 1969 military truck and a combine harvester into a corn picking and roasting machine. The guys cut a 1991 Ford Festiva in half and mount it on two 10-foot steel wheels (hamster wheels on steroids), dubbing it the "Festevil." They create a giant mechanical spider with a Mitsubishi Spyder engine; make a hovercraft from a 1961 Airstream; churn out a 1938 Chevy that runs on ethanol and turns into a bar; morph two motorcycles into amphibious bikes; and create a bike resembling the one in "The Dark Knight."

I think I remember seeing that former car for sale on Craigslist.
Any bet on how long it take to fry the clutch on that thing? I'm guessing they added about 750 lbs to it with all that stuff. Plus they'll have to apply brakes individualy to each side for steering adding more strain on the clutch.

The show is playing on Discovery, not the one with the Festiva, but it seems to be alot like Monster Garage.

it looks like its gonna be brake steer using the brakes on the main axle, just inboard of each wheel
