    my treasures

I was in Capac Michigan at 6:30A.M. today. The owner came and put the dog away and turned off the alarms and let me in wat before 8 A.M.
I started my Festiva treasure hunt as the sky was just starting to lighten. Only one in the whole yard.

I got a pair of smooth tailights off of an 89.
I surgically removed 3 Sets of Festiva L emblems without breaking any pins!
The cargo cover was cracked at one end, but I took all the hardware.
I took all of the wide moldings. The clear had not been pulled off the red stripe! I will bring all this to Ohiostiva 2010.

The Festiva still has the factory air in it!

I also got a chrome antenna complete off of a 91.

I found a Festiva in a yard in Canada, the day before, with the five speed still in, nice headlights, nice corner lights.

Nice score. Love waiting for the gates to open esp when you know there are some goodies inside. I had a tip on this day and scored.

        tip score

what was the tip and what did you score? i was thinking about going to the person that checks the new cars in and tipping them to let me know when a festiva comes in. recently i pulled a complete a/c unit and sunroof. a/c unit is installed, it wasnt completely emptied, because it is ice cold. tiger.

Untouched 89 LX in good shape, got it all. Split rear seats, removable head rests front seats, full console, rear hatch light latch, door cards, red striped body molding, cargo light, full cargo cover hardware, manual seat belts, tilt steering wheel column boot and retainer, underseat tray rails ( no tray ), power mirrors , switches, etc. It was a good day.
