We had company from snowy PA today.
A while back V8Festiva (Dean) told Adopolis (Leory) he could have any sheet metal he wanted off the two pull apart cars from Festiva Madness 2 and 3 to help fix his. So, he took Dean up on the offer. Had to pick the coldest day we've had in a long time to come! LOL Anyhow, it was good to meet another ff.com member and the guys seemed to have had a good time even if it was cold.

We love company! Leroy, you are welcome to come back anytime.

Uh, V8Festiva or Smedley, did you happen to hold on to Adopolis's hood?
It would have been a perfect match for mine, since littlebluecar wont let me have hers!
What did you all use to cut those panels out, looks like it was a clean job.

Oddly, she wouldn't let me near the Aspire with tools in my hands unsupervised either. I only wanted to trade an Aspire downgrade for a Festiva upgrade.

Greg, that's what I always thought it was, but according to our paint codes for a Festiva made in 3/93 I have a choice of:
            KJ Brilliant Blue Met BC/CC
            Which doesn't seem right either.
Where are the color codes located?
Because the VIN sticker doesn't seem to help in this regard.

^ The vin sticker should say exterior paint colors and list a code above that.

Acually, that car is aqua not smurf blue. Dean was trying to figure out a way to get his hands on the whole car as he has been wanting an aqua one! Adopolis better watch out if he brings it back to NC.

They cut out frame rails and panels with a sawzall. Went through several blades to get all the pieces cut out, from what I hear.

Those pull a part cars from the meets just keep on giving parts to folks. Dean said when they were stripped of usable parts he was going to scrap the rest. But the way I see it, there may be nothing left to scrap. LOL

Maybe we can weld 2 bodies together & make a station wagon for off-road use?

Focustiva: Because I was told it was was impossible to fit a Focus bumper on a Festiva.

                    Right you are!
Code is "SE" = Aqua B/E

For the longest time I thought the paint code was T05, which Tunner informed me, is actually the body style.

Yes, aqua it is, and all this time I've been calling it turquoise.
Truth be told, me thinks Dean wants a clean example of every color of every year!

In the end I'll bet very little will go to the scrap yard!
I wonder how many cars are on the road because of those two cars?

I would lilke to say that Dean and Barbara are two of the greatest people that I have come to meet. They made feel very welcomed (Dean showed me his projects and most definatly gave me the urge for a BP swap) and I also got a speghetti dinner (Barbara you made dinner just how I like it, Thank You).

I have to take care of the '93 "turtle" first. Then I can make plans for the '88L which is my personal (sentimental) favorite. I have to really diagnose what is wrong and figure a plan of attack (driving back I came to the conclusion that there is going to be more cancer that what I thought). The '88 is going to be a real hand full.

The 10 hr (500 + mile) drive back gave me time to reflect on the great day that I truly enjoyed and on life in general.

Dean as long as you say that I am not being a bother I would very much would like to come down again, as well as, to the next Festiva Madness.
